Boost Your Website Traffic
You want more website traffic. But if there’s nothing new to see on your site, people aren’t going to stop by and visit. You need to give them a reason to come back and that’s exactly what blog posts do. With your blog posts, you can direct people to other products and services on your site, or get them to opt into a newsletter. You can add links to the blog’s text that directs them to other articles. It’s a fabulous way to get more peepers on your content more often and introduce customers to what it is you do. Plus, Google loves new and relevant content—and you want all the Google love you can get.
Make a Personal Connection
Put a face on your business – it makes it easier for people to make a connection with a person that a cold, heartless corporation (not that we’re saying that’s you). All work and no play makes for a very dull blog, so inject that bad boy with some humour. Give your business some personality, make it unique, and you’ll find that it makes your more approachable and relatable to your customers.
Achieve Expert Status
It’s important to set yourself apart from your competition and establish yourself as an industry expert. Give your readers high-quality and relevant content to chew on. Over time, you’ll be seen as the head chef. People will start coming to you to get the latest scoops. Other bloggers will link to your articles. You’ll be asked to speak at events and conferences. You’ll be famous… just don’t forget all the little people who gave you the great advice about why you should start a blog (Hint: That’s us!).
